NTL dial up, auto disconnect system!

Hi Guys, I have just installed an anti virus programme for a friend on a machine running Windows XP home and using NTL dial up internet access. During the update process of the virus signatures the machine kept disconnecting from the internet because it thought the machine was idle. I checked the connection settings and it asked me if I wanted to override the auto disconnect "when idle" system, I chose YES and the rest of the installation went to plan. My problem is, my friend wants this auto disconnect system switching back ON and I can't find a box to tick to reinstate it, can anyone help me. Thanks.

I don't use NTL, but you could try this: go to Control Panel>Network Connections, right click on the NTL connection, click Properties>Options tab and see if you can reinstate it there.

Madeline.
