Internet access via laptop

Hi All,

I'm new to the site and this is my first posting. I have a laptop (Toshiba Satelite 3000) It is supposed to be Internet ready (Internal dial up modem) My dilemma is that I have talktalk broadband at home but I want to use the laptop for occasional internet access. As I see it I need to sign up with an ISP such as Virgin and have an independant account for the laptop. Am I right? Could anyone offer a better way of connecting? Any help appreciated.

Re: Internet access via laptop

I assume you mean you want to access the net at home, is that right? If so, you just need to get a 4 port ADSL Modem/Router, replace your current TalkTalk modem and you can connect your laptop (and any other PC) to the net via that.
