home page

i have a problem with my home page i set it to home page in the settings but when i click on the explorer to go to home it comes up with a totoly different page and the settings have changed to this page how do i get rid of this problem thanks

It sounds like you have had your browser hijacked. Go into the 'Hijack this logs' Forum and take a look at the first posting.

I agree with Marcus. You have been probably been hijacked.
e.g. about:search was a common and persistant hijacker to remove.

In the interim you can pop up your browser internet options and change your home settings to anything.
Whilst in your browser, select a reliable page e.g. www.bbc.co.uk
Then enter your browser and set your home page to the current page.

But, use Google to search for protection against this hi-jacking.

It is also something that Yahoo! ISP does to you if you have foolishly downloaded their software. If you HAVE, just delete the Yahoo software downloads to get back to your default dialler and the ability to set your Home Page.
