On a good day I may be lucky and get access but mostly it's 'sorry not available outside the UK'  Now informed by post that BBCiPlayer is being launched on Virgin TV from May. Good news for anyone with the same problem.

Its on Virgin TV now actually press the red button on BBC One 
You can also access it on the nintendo wii but you might need to pay 500 points (around £4 - £5) to get the internet channel
