Motorola V3x Modem - do I have to pay £15/mth?!!!!
|
|
I'm looking to be able to access the internet on my laptop using the modem in my Motorola V3x. However the only option they give you for this is a monthly charge of £15.00! This is too pricey for me as i will hardly ever use it but it would be a very useful bonus. Why don't they do a dial up version like O2 where you pay for what you use? I have noticed that the connection requires a dial up connection in network connections.
Is there any way of changing the data to use a pay as you go kind of system?
Can you use one of the many ISP's that offer this instead of 3G's money grabbing scheme?

Forget mobile networks for internet access there all money grabbers plus it would be slow as hell. Use a wirless broadband connection on you're laptop and if you want free internet access on a mobile phone around the house get one which has WI-FI ie Nokia N80 or other upcoming n-series nokias or a Sony Ericsson P990i which you can have free interent access on and at a proper speed
