My AMD machine crashed so completely that it couldn't even be started in safe mode. I couldn't even get help from the maker for my OEM equipment because it happens to be Evesham which is in liquidation. Windows Update recommended making a backup before loading SP3 but what use is that if you can't see it?
I had to take it to a specialist who managed to save most of what was on my hard disk, but it cost Ł120. SP3 was in Beta form for quite a while isn't it strange that nobody picked up such drastic problems?
