Re: Virtual memory too low...

My computer stats:
Dell Dimension 4400
Pentium 4,1.6GHz
20 GB EIDE hard drive
Windows XP Home SP2.
Web browser: Firefox
Security: McAfee Security Suite Complimentary Subscription
Email client: MSN Hotmail
Internet connection: COMCAST cable

My memory stats:
256MB RAM
Total paging size for all drives: 384MB
Initial size: 384MB
Maximum size: 384MB
Minimum allowed: 2MB
Recommended: 382MB
Currently allocated: 384MB

I read that the Initial & Maximum sizes should be 1.5 times your total RAM.

Yesterday I got 2 error messages:
1. Oops...
Error:Out of memory
Page:
file:///c:/Program%20Files/Comcast/Desktop%20Doctor/sscommon/common/snapins/
shell.htm?config=..%255c..%255c..%255c..%255cagent%255cclientui_config.xml&
configtouse=subagent
line:106
when I hit ok, I got the next error:
2. Oops...
Error: Object expected
(the rest of the error message is exactly the same, except now it's line 48).

Previously, I tried a change I was told about to let the system manage the memory. That didn't work either. How much RAM should I have? If I have to increase my RAM, I don't want to just pick a random number to increase to. Also, will more RAM increase processing speed?
Thanks.
