I would recommend letting your PC update its self, you can turn on Automatic Updates in: Control Panel -> Automatic Updates.
You can change the settings so the PC downloads and updates automaticaly or you could choose (like me), to get it to inform you of when updates are available and then choose which updates to download and install.
