Media Player 10 on XP query.

Hi all
I used to have W98 & media player 6.4.
Then i used to be able to see the progress of a file i was downloading via the green progress line at the bottom!
Can i configure WMP 10 to do this!
Also after it's finished downloading e.g a song or film clip, i used to right click & there was 'save as' & i could save to my documents, i don't see this here, is it phrased differently!
Any help appreciated
