What I mean be re-setting my modem is - pressing the very small reset button on my Webstar (Blueyounder / Virgin Cable) broadband modem box. This action is said to reboot the modem itself and check for any cable or connection faults. After about 30 seconds the power,pc,data and cable - "healthy status" LEDs iluminate.
