Right thanks in advance for any help, but basically got a windows 98se computer with 5GB HDD and "96"mb of SDRAM as 3 x 32mb and i tried installing another 128mb that i bought but now i've restarted a few times and moved it around to other slots and the computer just isn't picking it up.

Also our house runs on a token electricity metre so it goes off from time to time unfortunately when it does if the computers on it will crash while loading windows.

I tried going through step by step configuration and it stops working at MSMOUSE.vxd or similar whether you enable it or not. Is this a problem or just something that happens and cannot be fixed.

Finally, of late its started crashing soon after logging on occaisionaly and other times the screen goes black in both cases i need to restart the computer to get it to work again.

All ideas appreciated, Brian
