If you really want Vista to look like XP it's reasonably easy to do so. You just disable all the bells and whistles like the Sidebar and UAC. I certainly wouldn't replace Vista with XP, that's just a retrograde step. In any case Vista itself is simply an operating system. It controls the computer, not the person operating the computer. It should be virtually invisible whilst you are using the PC for it's normal purpose.
