I'm using Vista Home Premium and recently installed a broadband modem. It's working perfectly and when first installed it placed an icon/shortcut on the desktop. The modem's still working ok, but the icon is no longer displaying properly and it now appears like one of those files where the pc normally askes you what programme you want to open it with. (Clicking on it works fine). I log in as administrator. When another user logs in, the icon on their desktop is fine. It's not a major problem, but it's irritating. Is the only answer to reinstall the modem?
