Am going to read your reply a few times and take in what you have said. I am unsure as to whether to bother with SP1. Especially when Medion said this was the cause of my probs. I did look into Microsoft forum on SP1 before I installed and there where a lot of people who had probs after installation but just as many who were ha-ppy with it. As I said I took advice from someone reliable probably like yourself who said go ahead and two weeks down the line I began having problems and the only thing I had done different was to download SP1.
