Hello, I've got a laptop (Compaq Presario C700) from my son (I'm 64 by the by). While it's good and very handy, some of the programmes I use won't work. I spoke to my son and he suggested doing a dual boot system, now I've search the internet and I can't make head nor tail of how to do it - my son tried to explain but he's made things worse for me. When I go into My Computer - I see two drives: One called "Local Disc (C)" and the other "Presario_RP(D)" - does this mean I have two hard discs crammed into the laptop or this is a partition? From what I've read about it I need to have a Vista disc - all I have a the recovery discs - will they do? Guess, what I'm asking is can some nice person give me an idiots guide? Many thanks in advance Rog the OldBoy Almost forgot (typical for me) The D drive has a large file called Recovery, can this be deleted if I have the recovery discs? |
