Hi,
Vista freezes whenever I try and connect my cable modem, cannot get into task manager or anything, its just totally froze, only had the laptop a few weeks, last time I tried it it worked fine and I haven't touched it for a week or so. Have to unclip battery and remove power to be able to reboot, will not boot without freezing when cable modem is attached.
Any ideas?

EDIT: Just to add, connecting through USB port, have just tried ethernet and seems to be doing the same!!!!????

(Starting to think this vista was a very bad decision.)
