i'm planning to invest in vista ultimate, trouble is I'm not sure whether I should go for the 32 or 64 bit version.

My system is:
Dell 5150 Inspiron, Pentium 4 640 with HT Tech. 3.2 Ghz (supports 64 bit OS), 3 Gb RAM, 256mb ATI Radeon X600 Graphics card.

Is it advisable to go for the 64 bit version over the 32? I want to have as much longevity as possible. I generally use the pc for gaming and multi-media etc.

Will I need drivers for everything before I do a clean install, especially with the 64 bit.

I'm not sure about the clean install process generally as I've never done it before......is it easier to clean install the 32 over the 64?
