The problem with recommending anything without using it thoroughly and seeing how they react to problems is nothing to do with luck. Broadband services should be judged on long term - what is the connection like? How often do you lose it? Are you subject to limits when you download large files? Do you actually get the speed they say? How do they deal with problems?

You'd never know that about any service for a good few months, nay, say a year.

I'm with Virgin Cable and they sort out problems quick and efficiently. They give me anything from 9.5 to 10.5 when I pay for 10 without fail. However, their email system is a dogs breakfast.

AND as per another thread I started, today they announced they will give all 2MBs users the same service that I get from May and they will pay less.

Time to see how they react to a complaint?
