UPDATE After a third call to BT they have now agreed to supply the new equipment but only if I upgrade to a higher option, however the operator and his supervisor agree that the deal is not as good as that for new customers and have had complaints and fed these complaints back, they also do not have the advertised phone available but will send an alternative and say they will send the advertised one in 6-8 weeks and allow you to keep the alternative. You cannot as an existing customer select a lower option than your current one and get any deal even if your term contract has expired. You must cancel and rejoin with loss of service for two weeks or so. I have elected to take the higher option because I cannot face the ISP switching but still consider it poor for loyal customers |
