Yeah I think it's ideal, for basic useage, remember though that this is a real budget card, so don't try and push it if at all.

If your daughter is just manipulating photos you're ok, anything more than that consider alternatives.

A few points:

Remeber that this card doesn't have it's own dedicated fan, so any assistance inside your tower will help this card, as it gets very hot, also any air flow you can have close to this card would go a long way to extending its life, but the heatsink is adequate by itself in almost all instances.

Easy to overclock, low profile ready, fits nicely into a slim case, large heat sink, and it is double sided.

Installation is easy, just plug in the card into the PCI-E slot, it's probably adviseable to download the drivers from nVidia's website prior to getting the card, unless you've got an nVidia card already.

This card supports DX10, and it does come with the S-video cable, although a component cable or DVI cable will be much better, i.e. for viewing HD content.

If this seems your way forward, then I'd go for it and at that price at Ebuyer, you really can't go wrong.
