A few points to look at

Hi,
I am re-doing my site and in the past I have very much appreciated the constructive comments from other members.
I have currently only done the index page and the 'about' page, but I was hoping for some feedback.
I am particularly interested in the coloured words for my navigation in the header section. Do they work, look naff? What may suit the image better?
