Hi Mark, you've been busy! It looks good - I like the fact that you have a consistent layout now, with the links always appearing down the left hand side of the page. Not sure if you realise that the photos on: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/mark.evetts/mark's_homepage_000004.htm are massive and would never download on dialup, or would, but would take a very very long time... While they may appear small on the actual web page, via your HTML e.g: <IMG SRC="mark's_homepage_i00008a.jpg" BORDER=0 ALIGN=MIDDLE WIDTH=409 HEIGHT=307 > the HTML merely links to the image, which in it's raw form is here: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/mark.evetts/mark's_homepage_i00008a.jpg Some of the images are over 0.75 Mb - just because the image looks small on the screen doesn't mean it will be quick to download. You'd need to resize the photos in an image editing application, so that the image on the web is really 409 * 307 pixels, and not the real size of 2048*1536 pixels... Well done on the new job by the way - I love that shakeskin link by the way... Jim free ecards |
