Sounds to me like you may have some conflicting software on there. Basically all you need is one third party firewall along with a good anti-malware programme. Comodo Pro, ZoneAlarm or Avast as suggested above are all good but not together. Do not install more than one firewall. AVG 8 is normally the only anti-malware programme you need and is also very good as is Ccleaner and Site Advisor.
