Wireless router!!

Since having a wirless router, when I try to use internet on the computer the home page takes ages to load then comes up with message "this page cannot be displayed" my internet connection is showing that I am connected but I cannot access any pages. Any ideas because this is driving me mad!!!!! It will load eventually after about 10 mins.
