I have just brought a Belkin ADSL Modem with High Speed mode (Model # F5D7633-4) I have a problem because on setting up security on my router there is a calculator which creates a hex key for you (which is used for all computers that access the network). I assumed I would only need to remember the word "Floating Point" which I used to generate the 128bit hex key. I assumed wrong. Now I am shut out of my own network because I didn’t note down the key and wondered if anyone else has this router they could get my key. They would need to connect on the router using 192.168.2.1 and choose WEP 128bit then type in "Floating Point" as the word to generate the key. I'm not sure if this will work but it's all I can think of unless anyone knows how to reset the security on the modem. I have tried the reset switch on the back of the unit but that doesn’t reset security.I would be very grateful for any help. Thanks, Adrian |
