I would like to create a wireless network at home. I have Telewest Blueyonder Broadband.

Iwant to move my exsisting pc from downstairs to my sons bedroom, then I would like to use my new laptop from anywhere in the house. The modem I would like to leave downstairs where it is.

The laptop is a Dell Inspiron 9300 (with an Intel pro wireless 2200 802.11b/g mini pci wireless lan card ) and uses XP home edition SP2.

The pc runs on Windows ME (with USB1.0 ports ).

I have looked through some earlier posts to try and get some info, and would like to know if I would be able to use this as my router and this to connect to my pc.

Will the new usb2.0 connector still work ok with the older usb 1.0 ports on my pc?
If not can anyone suggest an alternative.

As you might have gathered I am new to this, so any help would be most appreciated,
