IE8 and cookies

Having downloaded IE8 I must say that I am quite happy with it but have one small problem. I have various stored cookies to make logins easy on certain sites such as online banking etc. They still exist on my PC but when accessing the sites with IE8 the cookies aren't recognised and I have to type in full details of password and log-in every time.
This was not a problem I had with IE7. Any suggestions please anyone?
