Please copy this page to *Notepad* and save to your desktop for reference as you will not have any browsers open while you are carrying out portions of these instructions.

It's IMPORTANT to carry out the instructions in the sequence listed below.

1. Close any open browsers.

2. Close/disable all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix.

Open *notepad* and copy/paste the text in the quotebox below into it:

Save this as CFScript.txt, in the same location as ComboFix.exe which is on the Desktop.

Referring to the picture above, drag CFScript.txt into ComboFix.exe.

This will start ComboFix again.(it may ask you to reboot your computer)

When finished, it shall produce a log for you at C:\ComboFix.txt

Then :-

Rerun HJT,and put a checkmark beside these :-

O2 - BHO: IeHelper Class - {A491D208-B353-490F-B81A-A8A3DC97042D} - "C:\WINDOWS\system32\smiehlp.dll (file missing)
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [MyWebSearch Plugin] rundll32 C:\PROGRA~1\MYWEBS~1\bar\1.bin\M3PLUGIN.DLL,UPF
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [LDM] C:\Program Files\Logitech\Desktop Messenger\8876480\Program\BackWeb-8876480.exe
O23 - Service: My Web Search Service (MyWebSearchService) - Unknown owner - C:\PROGRA~1\MYWEBS~1\bar\1.bin\mwssvc.exe (file missing)

now close all windows and browsers and click FIX CHECKED

You need to update your java.

Please go to the add/remove utility in the control panel and uninstall the following:

J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 07 (and any other java updates that are there)

Reboot the Computer.

Then update your Sun java from here:

http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp
