I've just noticed on your first post that some of the characters don't appear correctly. I know this is a long shot but could it be anything to do with character sets on your PC? I'm wondering if Gmail is seeing a particular character as something other than what it should be. In particular the @ character will appear as a double quote if you have the US keyboard/locale on your PC. Could be worth playing around with that.
