I used a free website given to me with my original email address ****@bulmer-essex.fsnet.co.uk when I registered with Freeserve some 7 years ago. The website & email address were abused by spam etc. and I have now ceased using the site and created a new one with another host. I have tried to delete the site by using FTP Terrapin bought from Freeserve, but it continualy since March last year says a transaction is in progress, and unable to do so, if you log on to the site there is a blank index page. But the supporting pages are accessible via search engines such as Google, and on one of these pages are the details of a deceased resident of the village and it is causing the family & me great embarrassment. I have telephoned Orange (who took over Freeserve) help line on at least 3 occasions to ask them to act on my behalf or help. Each time they directed me to their Q&A pages saying they cannot delete it, these do not help me. On the last occasion I spoke to Orange I managed to get an email address (support.mysite@uk.orange.com) to which I should request the site to be deleted. I sent this request expressing the urgency on the 11 March, and so far have not received any response, not even an acknowledgement. Can anyone suggest another way of getting this site removed?
