Favicons Not In Favorites/Bookmark List

Can anyone help.
I find it much easier to see my bookmarks/favorites when they have a favicon next to them. But a number of them do not appear even they they have one appearing in the address bar for the website. Also sometimes they appear in my favorites and then a few days later they have gone.
Can anyone help???????
