Thanks for concise reply. In fact, one of the first things I did when I had this connection problem was to reinstall an old version of AOL. I then read on the help section that if you do this it switches you back to the old system again. Therefore, I completely ignored everything "DiallBB" and set up a new Broadband Connection (under "Network Connections"), logged in as username@aol.com and hey presto, I'm in! The only problem now is that each time I boot up I have to manually switch this connection - is there any way I can do this on startup? And like you say, I am sure it will try and reinstall the update again, but will cross that bridge when I come to it. As for switching, its not just because of the connection problem. It took me six attempts to get a house move request through, then this problem appears, and its also the fact that the Tech guy promised to call me back yesterday and didnt. Speed has also dropped from average of 3.8 to 2.5, and this is before the migration. Was going to go with Sky as well but they don't cover my exchange! Darn! |
