I agree, better the devil you know.
I was with Metronet, (now Plusnet), and i never had any problems during the 5 years i was with them.
I think with the SKY SNR issue, is probably more to do with the Netgear router, than sky,a lot of other users report similar problems with Netgear, however its early days yet, and at a Fiver per month, im going to let it go for the time being.
I have 2 other routers here that i can use, and if need be i will use one of them.
