Hi all. I have an Advent 7087 laptop here, Windows starts up with the logo, screen goes black, then I get the message "lsass.exe - System Error" and underneath it says "Object name not found". I then click on okay and the laptop goes through this cycle over an over again. I've managed to do a non-destructive system restore - no change. I've tried booting in safe mode and get the same error. I've also tried restoring to last system settings that worked - no joy. I can't even get a command prompt so can't replace this file which I believe is a vital part of the Windows system and is something to do with logging in? There's no password protection on the machine. Can anyone help me?

Suffice to say the laptop has much info on which has not been backed up to date ..... ! Please help me end the week on a good note!
