A year ago I switched ISPS, finally ditching AOL for cable. One of the first issues you hit is ITunes. You have to 'convert' your AOL account to an Apple account. It's actually quite simple: try to log in three times and you get presented with the option of Create Apple Account, which I did and everything worked fine. Until the last ITunes update. Now all the songs I bought on my old AOL Account need to be authorised again. IT's not like my AOL Account name has gone - I used AOL's feature to continue it for free to access emails still hitting my old account. But no matter what I try ITunes refuses to let me in at the 100 odd tunes I bought and paid for before April 2007. Their 'help' so far has varied from the obvious - log in as your old AOL name which does not work as ITunes identifies it as a closed account. Now they want me to open ANOTHER Apple Account for these songs to be converted to. I've already emailed them back and said I have done that - in April 2007! I have had messages when trying to access 'The Itunes server is having issues with AOL accounts' but they are refusing to budge. Anyone else had the same issue? |
