I've given up on this for now as my old pc is still able to allow me to continue doing what I did(even though I am not looking forward to trying to solve the problem later as I may have to)otherwise I will be stuck at a later date but...as the program would not work on the new computer and I discovered doing something else it had stopped altogether working I decided to remove the programme by uninstalling it. It did so successfully but during uninstall it mentioned shared files and said that I could go ahead as they are not used or leave them on the system but I said take everything away, when it has, I have been left with an icon in the uninstall/install program area on the control panel which if you click on does not open or cannot be removed. I can see the folder containing what's left of the program in the programs area of the Windows operating system(where I know I'm not supposed to be)and I'm wondering if I can risk taking that folder out without messing up the system. I know for sure it is what's left of the program's software. Should I leave it? Should I put up with that useless icon etc...sitting in the program uninstall/intall area of the control panel? I know that some programs do have a habbit of leaving residue behind. Many thanks |
