Surprisingly, I find it quicker to record that way, and if you need to copy the same CD twice, even quicker! Although of course, it takes up quite a lot of space on my comp so I would delete from the comp after a couple of days. Also I found I wasted too many CDs if, for some unknown reason, it crashed mid-recording (which happened a few times on Version 4).
Never put off till tomorrow what you can avoid all together
