1) disconnect modem
2) delete any Broadband connections in control panel
3) uninstall previous speedtouch applications in control panel
4) reboot
5) download the vista driver above from a mates computer and bung it in a drive on your PC
6) plug in the speedtouch when it tells you and not before
7) a wizard should then ask for your ISP user name and password
8) that should work

If you don't do the lot meticulously, it wont work.
