keep loosing connection then cannot get into google

Hi All
i wonder if you can help. I have dial up connection with telewest now virgin(cannot get broadband unles i pay bt extra monies which i cannot afford to do) unfortunately the connection goes down very very very frequently and
added to that once i get a connection i am finding difficult to get into google often i get a pop up with iexplore.exe saying end now and loose detail????!!!!
Any advice please?
