I use the filehippo update checker which has come up with above update. I have no idea what this is and whether I need it or not. The update is about 43mb. I am running Windows XP Home with SP2. Could anybody advise please.
alfie13 , it's basically an update for your NVIDIA display drivers. Rather than using filehippo , i prefer to go straight to the manufacturer to check for updates. If you click...here...it takes you straight to their site. Click on the "graphics drivers" button under option 2 and it will check to see what driver is Currently Installed on your pc in comparison to the Recommended Driver for your set up.
If you don't have the latest driver it's then up to you if you wish to update. If your pc's running fine you may want to leave things as they are ( many people do ). However if you're like me and you like everything "new" then download and install it. If you choose to do so then create a system restore point first ( as a back up ) then follow that link to download the driver. Once that's done close all running programs and navigate to where you downloaded the file to. Run the executable and follow the instructions. When it's done your pc will require a reboot to complete the installation.
