I'm running X.P Pro 2 service pack. 992 GB installed memory, 500 GB Hard drive. with A.V.G. and Zone alarm, I have recently installed System manager on checking 19/11 it recovered 170.35 memory 20/11 145.58 and 21/11 129.35. What is causing this loss and what can I do to prevent it?

Nonsense, you do not have this amount of memory!
Also, what is this memory you're recovering?

Whats starting up when you power up???
Start>Run>Msconfig>startup tab........disable things you dont want running 24/7
Random access memory is there to be used, i have 1.25 Gb and its 40% used thats fine....
