I have re-installed windows xp sp2 (updated to sp3) and have noticed that my system clock dont sync with the time server. in other words, everytime i start my comp the time shows 00:00 and i have to adjust it manually and then press update button....but still it dont update it..it says " an error occured getting the status of the last synchronisation. The RPC server is unavailable "....any ideas...???? thank u...
PS : im using broadband which requires username and password when the comp is started.

I’m not convinced it’s a time synchronisation problem but this should correct the usual timing problem:
Double-click the time display in the system tray, click Internet Time Tab and replace the name in the Server box with Europe.pool.ntp.org
Incidentally, you should have waited a few days for the RTM version of SP3, not one of the betas.

Just highlight one of the servers shown in that box and type in the new one from BurrWalnuts post.

As I said previously, I don't think it's a synchronisation problem.
Plenty of information here http://www.technologyquestions.com/techn...ime-server.html
