Help with ALTNET
      #272459 - Thu Apr 06 2006 07:32 AM

After several attempts at trying to remove ALTNET from my PCs registry for some time now i am now getting daily warnings from my Panda Antivirus that Alnet is trying to gain access to my Pc.
Can anyone recommend a computer man/doctor in the SOUTHAMPTON AREA that can fix this for me once and for all.
I will obviously pay the going rate.
Thanks in advance.

Follow the instructions contained in this post, then post your log back to the HijackThis forum (not the Windows XP help forum which is where you are now) along with a brief description of your problem.

I have already asked for help on the hijackthis page but the advice given was not able to solve the problem which is why i am looking for a expert to come and do this for me.
I was hoping that someone could recommend someone before i went through the local paper/yellow pages and taking a chance on selecting an advert without knowing who i am dealing with(you hear of so many people being ripped off by dodgy traders, maybe not in computing ??)

That's because you haven't had the courtesy to respond to the help given by the HJT team. I also note that you posted a log back in 2004 about the self same problem. If you want our HJT helpers to clean your PC, please reply to them in your original thread. I will close this one.

Well, if forty-eight million, two hundred thousand, seven hundred and one people died I'd be Queen.
