After running an innocent looking Microsoft update last night, everything - all my music, pictures, documents, favourites - appears to have been wiped.
When I search I can see them as normal, but in attempting to open for example a picture I get "Photo Gallery Cannot open this picture becauase it might have been deleted or is in a location that is not available".
I've tried system restore twice going further back each time, but no luck. Some of the original folders I transferred across from my old machine are there, but they are empty...Help please

I have experienced the exact same problem of disappearing folders and programs after Windows Automatic Update with Vista Home Premium. Were you ever able to resolve it?
