Hello all. I am trying to backup my dvd collection before my son and grandchildren scratch them beyond use. I have tried to burn them using firstly ashampoo burning studio 6 and have reinstalled nero 5 but each time I get a not compatable error message. I remember that someone posted that there was a free dvd burning software available but for the life of me I can't find it can someone point me in the right direction. I did try burn4free but I was so confused by it I deleted it from my machine.

The manufacturers of music CDs go out of their way to STOP you copying their products because it is a breach of the copyright laws and therefore illegal. The 'not compatible' message is telling you that your burning software and CD drive cannot read the original in such a way that it can be copied.
