I have various DVD Programmes, which will allow me to view standard Movies and Music DVD's (Windows Meadia Player/Quick Time/Inter Video etc,.)
However I have some DVD's that are DVD-R format, what programme can I get to view this format on my computer. (Windows XP)

Just a standard DVD drive will play DVD-R discs.

Thanks, but the system can read DVD+R and many other formats, but doesnt seem to recognise DVD-R (DVD Minus R)Is there a way I can download a programme/hardware to recognise this. I have a collection on old video, copied to DVD-R format, whilst I have a stand alone DVD that will recognise it it would be nice to view on the computer.

Nope if your DVD drive reads Plus R only then you will need to buy a new drive, one that can read both disc types, piece of cake to fit one of these too.
Cheap as chips these days, obviously you can buy one from a retailer you prefer.
