Recording online windows media content

some emails i receive have a link to some windows media , quicktime or realplayer content. Is there a program i could use to record the content i am viewing to save to my pc. free software would be nice but not essential.

I saw a few bits of software that do this on download.com a few weeks ago. I didn't get around to trying any though.

Look on this site videohelp.com

on the left handside under the Lists column click tools and then on video streaming recorders.
