Just downloaded GOM player which seems to work well with small video files attached to emails and uploaded from mobiles etc. However, when attempting to run a DVD it shuts down with the standard 'this program has encountered a problem...' message. Any ideas?
As a general rule, when playing DVD's on my pc using real or media player, the playback is very jumpy - is there a way of sorting this without having to go back to restore points? My pc is about 5 years old (although I've upgraded memory etc and works fine on everything else) this could be a problem!
Thanks.

You could try this Open GOM (Top Left corner) and click Preferences
Click Playback on the left then the playback tab change the task Priority to High
note that not much else will run while GOM is playing whilst it is in that setting
