Can your computer run that game?
      #398240 - Sat Jun 21 2008 08:34 PM

Automatically analyze your computer in just seconds, to see whether or not you can run a certain game (Good to determine whether or not to purchase the game)

'Can You Run It' ( www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtest ) provides a One-Click solution that looks at your computer's hardware and system software to determine whether or not your current system can run a product. Each of your computer's components is evaluated to see how well it meets the minimum and recommended requirements for specific products. Recommendations are made on how to update or upgrade each component which does not meet the listed requirements. Sometimes, a simple, free software download is all that is needed. Sometimes you'll find that you need a different video card to fully experience what the game has to offer.

A very reliable tool, that is highly accurate - Something Worth Bookmarking

A good site that has been around a while - think was actually mentioned in an old WebUser tips but worth bookmarking.

If it will run is only part of the issue. Also worth bookmarking:

Type in the game you are considering and they generally have most demos. That way you can check the game out in a lot more detail too. Some hefty downloads - can be 100MB to 1GB+ but as they are free it can save you a lot of money 'testing' a demo before you shell out the money and finding you made a mistake.

I loved my grandmother very much.......and she fetched a good price on eBay.
