AVG 8 Warnings
      #400710 - Thu Jul 17 2008 10:28 PM

The daily scan finds hundreds of "warnings" - today's total was 290 (yes, two hundred and ninety). I don't know what to do with these warnings - at present I am sort-of deleting them by laborious click-by-click highlighting them and then clicking "remove these items". This takes for ever - there must be another way, but I just can't get used to this new AVG 8. The previous AVG 7.5 was so simple. Trouble is, I quite like the idea of AVG 8 having that Search-shield thing when I go on to google etc. What should I do please? I would have thought that I could highlight ALL of them in one go, but somehow it just doesn't seem to work for me. Any ideas please?

Do you use Spywareblaster, or Spybot Search and Destroy's "immunise" feature (or any other similar anti-spyware product)?

Hello Heidi -

I recently uninstalled Spybot S & D as another post said that it conflicts with AVG 8. (I had definitely found that pages took ages to load since AVG 8, and this seemed to be the solution to that). I only have CCleaner, PC Tools Spyware Doctor and PC Tools Firewall Plus. Are these part of the problem?
Or are they part of the possible remedy to thes hundreds of "Warnings" (which seem to be mainly cookies).
